New Season Brings International Visitors

Concerts Penzance look forward to a truly international 2013/14 season.  On
Friday 25 October we welcome the Arcadia Quartet from Romania, winners of
the 2012 London Wigmore Hall International String Quartet Competition,
playing Beethoven op.18 no.6, Janacek 'Intimate Letters' and Debussy.

On Saturday 30 November Christoph Richter returns to Penzance to perform
Bach cello suites nos. 2, 3 and 5 which are also part of his series of Bach
at Kings Place in London.  In the new year Saturday 25 January sees the
first visit by the Wu Quartet, one of Britain's most successful young
prizewinning quartets with a list of engagements which takes them across
Europe and China.

The last concert of the season will be on Saturday 8 March when the New York
based ensemble DeCoda visit Concerts Penzance as part of their tour of
Britain which includes concerts in Sheffield, at the Sage in Gateshead and
in London at the Barbican and South Bank Centres and Guildhall School of
Music & Drama.
